It came from the Canonical 'ubuntu hardy partners' repository found in the 'Third Party' sources section of System > Administration > Software Sources. It is the one that is now working for me. I had first installed the one from the Adobe web site, then I learned about the 'ubuntu hardy partners' repo and activated that. The update manager then immediately offered an update from whatever version I had previously from the Adobe website (not sure what that was) to what I have now. I then needed to move it from /usr/lib/adobe-flashplugin into /usr/lib/flashplugin-nonfree because Firefox 3.0.17 would not detect it in the first directory. Restarted Firefox and it then detected it in the second directory, and Hulu worked after that. You might want to try the 'ubuntu hardy partners' repo and see if it makes a difference. Also I assume you are using the same Firefox version and haven't upgraded that yourself to 3.5 or something? That might make a difference.
