Am I missing something here? Why not use any browser and then use Applications ->Accessories -> Take a Screen shot? <BR>
Using the "select area to grab" you can just grab the picture without the print (which I didn't do well). <BR>

Have you tried Opera. I remember we used Opera to take snapshots of web pages -for a bookmaking application actually. We used it on ubuntu system. I don't remember details but It worths to check.<BR>
