</blockquote><div><br>Just a suggestion from out of the blue.<br><br>Have you installed and played with-<br><br>PulseAudio Device Chooser and Volume Control<br><br><br>Are the speakers USB based?  If so you have to switch them on via the PulseAudio panel.  <br>
