I'm not sure what that could be, but I think the ":0" part of it denotes
that it's running on Display 0 (i.e., your main X display), which
indicates to me that it might have something to do with X. That's just a
best guess though.
I dont actually have this process on my computer, so I can't say for
certian what it's related to, but you could always try killing it and
seeing what stops working, if anything.
as for the unnamed root processes, these could be resident processes
that are in the process of terminating/restarting. although they could
also be other things...I'm just not sure.
I know you said you cant see these processes in system monitor... but
did you try adjusting the view settings? you can try going to "view >
all processes", then sort by CPU usage to find it... and to see what
ecatly the process is, you can go to "Edit > Preferences | Processes tab

the terminal command that called each running process. This might be
helpful to you

A jiffy is a unit of time used to denote how long it takes light to
travel 1 centimeter. see this page for more infos:

Love that Jiffy! Thanks for the Wiki page. I don't know why I don't
think of looking more stuff up there. As for the processes... It's too
late on a Saturday night! I'll persue this more tomorrow.<br>
