I burn all my isos on CD-R and CD-RW disks and no failures yet. I also bought some DVD-R disks and haven't had the need to use them yet. Writable CDs in Canada must be of poor quality. I realize that writable CDs all have some bad tracks on them but everything I find locally are certified to have 700 MB writable space and will hold any Ubuntu iso if burned as an iso file. FWIW.
