Ubuntu 9.04. With my last update of 9.04 2 problems occured.</p>

message: Hd2,0//grub/splash.xpm.gz failed to read splash image.</p>

<p style="margin-bottom: 0cm; margin-top: 0pt;">2. and much more
important. Ubuntu will not read my password. I tried to reinstall it
via suggestions on various web sites but that did now work.</p>
<p style="margin-bottom: 0cm; margin-top: 0pt;"> I can not do any
updates since the password is not accepted. Before the update the
password worked fine.</p>
