</blockquote></div><br><br>If IRC is an issue, I found xchat-gnome to be really great. It's in the repositories so you can download it through Symantic. It shows up under applications>>internet. All you really have to know is that you want is freenode for your netework and #ubuntu for your channel. Once you get started there, you cn look at all the other channels. It took me about five minutes to get it working -- and I'm not anywhere near a power user. It's very intuitive and the GUI interface really helps.<br>
