You may have written the iso data directly on to the disk as just iso itself.<br>The iso file must be written as an image. Please just download and install Xubuntu. If you install Ubuntu, then<br>
add Xubuntu-desktop, you still get all the gnome apps that are slowing<br>
it down.<br>
