Hi folks,

I've done System > Preferences > Appearance and switched to the darklooks theme (which is super sexy, props to whoever did that). And when I click on themes, the windows etc change, which is a nice change from Windows where one has to probably hit a save button, wait, & restart. And this sticks for most programs/windows, but I've noticed that if I close firefox and re-open it, the skinning inside the window is gone (ie it looks like something from Windows 95, ugh). If I open the appearance dialog box, switch to something else and switch back, then it gets skinned - until the program is restarted. This also affects Evolution, so it's not a firefox add-on or something. Yet other programs are unaffected.

I'm also running compiz for extra fun, which did cause issues at the beginning, but seems to be running stably now, so I don't think that's causing the issue.

Thanks for any advice,
-Mike
