Crashing/Freezing more frequently until it wouldn't load Reformated HD 2 Loaded ubuntu-8.10-desktop-amd64.iso. Continually crashed after completing page 7 of installation. Therefore gaveup 3 ubuntu-8.10-alternate-amd64.iso. This loaded OK, but struggled on understanding choices available. Loaded a number of times until I was happy with setup, but not sure what I actually did!. Text choices need some sort of description to help users make correct choices and save wasted time, the latter is presious! Note since drafting this I've found Release Notes and applied "ecryptfs" fix. I'll flag this in Ubuntuformus 64 bit Users since many people seemd to have similar problems. I haven't fully tested this yet but looking hopefull at last. I would appreciate comment as to whether the "ecryptfs" issue is the cause of my crash/freeze problem.
