Actually, one of my reasons for moving to Ubuntu is that the developers of Konqueror decided to focus on web browsing. I would love to install Konqueror into Ubuntu, but don't want all the extra stuff, like dolphin coming along with it. That is why I asked if it was possible to get Konqueror 3.5.10 in Ubuntu 8.10, but I got no answers. I may just break down and install the version 4 Konqueror as it still does a nice job as a file browser. </blockquote></div> I don't have a computer to check it out now. But you can try something like apt-get install konqueror. (It will prompt (yes/no) you before installing it. So you can check what all things are gonna be installed before actually installing them.
