run two different instances of X for each monitor? Just suggesting here. I had such a set up on Feisty, but I had to do a lot of editing of xorg.conf to get it. I had to set up separate screens and so on. Is there a simple way to get two desktops on Hardy? I do know how to do it the hard way, I'm just hoping that there's an easier way...
