I have the exact same problem on ubuntu 8.l0.<br>
I have a wireless network. No security is activated.<br>
It works fine for some time, but after a few minutes the conection is
really slow.<br>
The signal is 100%.<br>
I tryed to restart the network, but no succes.<br>
Rebooting Ubuntu solves the problem, but is not really a solution...<br>

However I identified when this heapens.<br>
It heapens when I move from the room where I have 100% signal in a more
isoleted room.<br>
But the problem is that when I return to the room with 100% signal, it
still works too slow.<br>
I belive there is a problem with the speed that is autonegociated on
wireless networks(it goes down with the signal, but not up).<br>
