Have you tried bringing up the device dialogue in xsane? I recall when I
used to have a TV card in my machine that always appeared as the default
for xsane, but the dialogue would show the Epson scanner as well.

Thanks for that. Have saved it in the device selection and the scanner now works but when i bring up the program again i get the device selection window comming up again asking what device to use. It doent remember?<BR>
Sadly the Webcam is still not working.<BR>
