<div dir="ltr">I bet your mboard has what is known as fake raid , which is basically os dependant raid . If you have mentioning of RAID in your bios , then this could be the story. I doubt its proper RAID. Ubuntu does not use this by default. Suse does, so it can even install on a "fake" raid system. I did it once to my Asus P4P800 with 2 disks in Raid 0. This was very succesfull. You can use ubuntu for this, but you should not expect it to be able to install directly onto the raid system. Once installed on another harddisk you can prolly run "apt-get instal dmraid" then "modprobe dmraid" and some partitioner to be able to see the partitions on the disks.
