<div dir="ltr">Hi, I'm using ubuntu 7.10. I'm accessing the ubuntu machine from the windows xp by using startxwin.sh script. I was able to access the ubuntu desktop yesterday by using the fallowing settings. System->Administration->Login Window->Remote tab Style: Same as Local. When i tried to login today, I'm getting a black screen without the login screen. gdmsetup Style has been changed to "Plain with face browser". I changed it to "Same as Local" and restarted the machine. Even after changing the style and rebooting, gdmsetup shows the style as "Plain with face browser" and i'm getting a black empty screen when i execute the "XWin.exe -query <ubuntuip>.
