I did an Upgrade to 8.04 LTS from 7.10 using the Update Manager, however, I had a problem booting the 2.6.24-18-386 kernel, as well, now that I think about it. Since I do not boot my desktop systems unless I need too because of an update or upgrade it slipped my mind. The 2.6.24-14-386 works, so that is what I have been using. I also have updated another system.. my own desktop system (a home built scsi based system) with no problems. So with the exception of the kernel for the 530 I am up to date! Except for my firewall system but that is another story and a project for later.
