When they shutdown they freeze when stopping ALSA and when a member of the audio group logs on to the GUI they authenticate successfully but no x session starts. Also xfce-mcs-manager freezes and even root can not -KILL it, it remains till after reboot. I can work around this issue by blacklisting the module or removing users from the audio group but that leaves them without sound which is less than ideal. I guess I could also roll back to an older version of the module but that makes updates rather complicated. Can anyone suggest a better fix? Regards Stephen Ward </BODY> </HTML>
