Ubuntu will not be my primary operating system and the eeepc 900 will not be my primary system. I want a little system to take to meetings and take notes and access the internet. because I need to sync things with my windows vista system, I will enter appoints on google calendar and take most notes on google documents. in meetings where there is no internet access, I will use open office writer and copy the saved file to a usb drive. So all this integration into ubunti gnome and kubuntu is wasted space and wasted applications. Everyone says I need to replace the Xandros with unbuntu because ubuntu is the greatest...if there a stripped down ubuntu that is not a text prompt, that is very basic and allows me to add things as I need them?
