That helped, now I am getting a list of depends that were not met. checking for MUSICAPPLET_DEPS... configure: error: Package requirements ( gtk+-2.0 libpanelapplet-2.0 pango >= 1.6 pygtk-2.0 gnome-python-2.0 ) were not met: No package 'libpanelapplet-2.0' found No package 'gnome-python-2.0' found I am now using package manager to try to locate whats missing. </blockquote> Many thanks for the support. I have succeeded in installing an app that probably consists of less than 200 lines of code. All I had to do was install over 100 megabytes of files to make it work. Whats wrong with this picture? I was just trying to update music applet to version 2.3. It is now in and running and I suppose I will need all the other stuff I installed someday.
