Thanks Ian, but i know how to make a kernel but i need a start point
and the custom ubuntu is very nice, so where is the .config file used
to create the ubuntu kernel?<br>
In Debian the .config file is on the header package.<br>

have to run make menuconfig to generate a .config file. Select the bits
'n' bobs for the kernel you want, then run make, followed by make
modules.....<br>

There are other variants, "make xconfig", "make config" each has a
different style interface. xconfig requires GTK+ I believe.<br>
