not sure what you mean, if you find the application you wish to put a
launcher, you
will need to right click on the application in the list, e.g. find "The
Gimp" in the applications list and right click on "The Gimp" You should
(at least with Gnome) be given the option of adding a launcher to either
the Panel,
or Desktop.
