~/.fonts. But please keep in mind that the fonts placed in ~/.fonts are
unusable for other users...

The other thing to do is refresh the font cache when this is done - sudo
fc-cache -f -v
I've noticed that some fonts are instantly accessible - others are not.
YMMV.

Well, it's only my personal notebook and I wouldn't restrict the/this
font to me only ;-)
So /usr/shr/fonts/truetype seems the correct location !
Will place it there !!

thought I might learn something but!!! I downloaded some tf fonts into
/home/downloads/.fonts and I have done everything I can do to copy them
into the suggested directory but I'm not allowed to paste them there.
Is there a sudo command?</font></font><br>
