After running Ubuntu Live CD 7.10 i386 I installed it.<br>
Al was fine until I let it install the updates, some gave error
messages, dont know where they are what exactly they were saying.<br>
Anyway after that <big><b>Ubuntu hangs with a dead screen after
login... </b></big><br>
Read some of the lists , tried dpkg-reconfigure (not really knowing
what to do with it anyway) no result<br>
So I reinstall Ubuntu , and did not install updates, system works fine
...<br>
Updates came probably from au/.... (if that is perhaps my local update
server?)<br>
Is there a more controlled way of getting these upgrades and installing
them one by one so I might catch what the error message is?<br>
Also do i always have to do a full re-install (repartioning the drives
and for such picadillies?<br>
