It was quite interesting using a Norwegian keyboard. I think that your choices are to (1) learn to use the left alt key more (for example left-alt-d in a browser to select the location/url) or (2) find out how to map the keys. Here is what I did. System->Preferences->Keyboard Shortcuts. I clicked on something to change the keyboard shortcut and then hit the right alt key. Dialog popped up and stated that "ALT R" was already assigned to email. Scrolled down to email and found entry that "ALT R" was assigned to. Disabled it, hit ok, now right alt key works.
