<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <html> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" /> <title></title> <style type="text/css">  </style> </head> <body marginleft="10" marginright="10" margintop="10" marginbottom="10"> hey guys whats up. i recently recieved in the mail the ubuntu fiesty fawn OS live CD package, it came with the X86 and the 64 bit CD. it took me over an 3 hours to get it to even think of starting up on my comp. now i have figured out that i have to use the boot option "noapic" to get it to boot into the live CD. but it will not boot into the OS after i install it through the live CD I read on the internet that i could change my grub boot parameters to allow it to enable the "noapic" option i have tried everythign i could think of to get this to happen but it stalls showing a screen that has this message at the bottom "linux kernel alive kernel tables up to 100000000 at 8000-d000" but as i previously stated it hangs at this stage and no matter how long i let it sit and hope that it chugs along to the OS it never does. can you guys help me. thanks for you help that i am sure you will be able to help me with this problem.
