There's a windows program called Typeitin. It sits on the desktop and shows a list of buttons. Each button represents a word or phrase that is inserted where the cursor is when I click on the button. I'm going to do that now by clicking on a button I named FLICKR right here:<iframe align="center" src=<a class="moz-txt-link-rfc2396E" href="http://www.flickr.com/slideShow/index.gne?set_id=XXXX">"http://www.flickr.com/slideShow/index.gne?set_id=XXXX"</a> frameBorder="0" width="500" scrolling="no" height="500"></iframe> (Incidentally, that's the code for displaying a slide show of pictures in set XXXX on a web page.) Some call this a "text expander" or "text inserter" but google searches on those phrases come us empty except for a ruby script called snippit. I haven't tried it yet but I'm wondering if anyone knows any program like typeitin that runs under linux.
