I know now many other distros have the LiveCD, but Ubuntu was the first one I stumbled across.  It gave me a chance to dip a timid toe into linux and the fantastic community is keeping my head above water.<br><br>I now appreciate Ubuntu's commitment to open source and providing a beginner/older hardware friendly OS environment.
