Can anyone help me solve this mystery? Gedit won't let me save: It tells me Saving has been disabled by the system administrator, and the save menu/toolbar options are disabled (grayed out) However, I am the system administrator on my single-user Ubuntu machine ( 7.04) Saving does work when I start gedit from the terminal with sudo I have no idea why this is happening. I have gone to System>Administration>Users and Groups, but everything seems normal there What am I doing wrong? Thanks, - Jimmy
