I cant really help you on this problem, but when I was setting up my video card awhile back I was reading some posts and it appears someone else had a similar problem with the double // slashes so I'm pretty sure thats your problem right there. I think it was something that was outdated but has since been fixed?

Hello,

GLX is not working for me after installing the appropriate drivers for
video card and glx extensions. A glxinfo command gives me

"extension "glx" missing on display"

So I checked my
xorg.conf in modules section load "glx" is present so I
go to me xorg log and see

"(II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules//libglx.so
dlopen: /usr/lib/xorg/modules//libglx.so: cannot open shared object
file: No such file or directory
(EE) Failed to load /usr/lib/xorg/modules//libglx.so"

I double check to /usr/lib/xorg/modules and libglx.so is there with
proper permissions so my conclusion is the "//" in the path of the glx
module is throwing the process off. Can somebody point me in the
direction to change that path or if that is not the problem direct me to
a proper solution? Googling has yet to be fruitful for this particular
problem.

William S.

--
ubuntu-users mailing list
ubuntu-users@lists.ubuntu.com
Modify settings or unsubscribe at:
