though, you edit menu.lst :<BR><BR>sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst<BR><BR>Then save, and :<BR><BR>sudo grub-install hd0<BR><BR>Where hd0 is where grub is (could be sd0 or a different one depending on <BR>the number of hd you have and the ubuntu version - I think hd were named <BR>hd## and that changed to sd## - check your /etc/fstab).
