Hi all , i decided to share this soltuion to a common problem of installing linux on a windows XP pc using partition magic.   I had problems regarding the above error messages, and XP wont start.  there are several solutions after googling but none better than this one I found out here, its simple and easy.<br><br>http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5065217&tstart=30 <br><br>It resolved the problem...which was usually down to the grub/linux hiding the NTFS partition<br><br><br>cheers everyone<br><p>
