When I first booted Vista after that, it did offer an option to "fix" the way Windows booted. Based on my experience w/RC2 - getting Vista to dual boot ANYTHING was impossible. That may not be the case now with the official releases - but I would still be weary. If you absolutely MUST have Windows and not the hardware to run Vista w/Aero - then install something like XP or even W2K. Vista is just too new to be trying things like dual booting. If you simply must - not only frequent Linux lists and forums, but it might be worth it to visit a few Windows forums.
