Friends;<br><br>I am having a laptop whose display setting in Windows is at 1024x 768 : 32bit while the <br>xorg.conf of ubuntu says :<br><br>  Section "Screen"<br>  Identifier "ATIScreen"<br>  Device "Card0"<br>  Monitor "ATIMonitor"<br>  DefaultColorDepth 24<br><br>While if I change the  DefaultColorDepth to 32 from 24 the GUI won't start.<br><br>I do not know if these two display settings are equivalent or not. I want to check if there<br>is any further scope of improvement in my display settings by modifying xorg.conf.<br><br>Can anybody point me to the location which help me establish the equivalence.<br><br>Thank you and regards<br><br>Yagnesh<br>
