If you really need to fix this, then boot off any Linux LiveCD and look at the hard disk using fdisk. Write down the start and end cylinders of the Windows partitions, then delete them and recreate them with exactly the same values. Use the fdisk feature to fix the partition order if the order ends up being different to the physical position on the disk. Nothing gets deleted, and fdisk puts your partition table into the kind of shape it should be.
