Hi!<br><br>I've installed kubuntu 6.06 with no big problems on the laptop.<br>

Nevertheless I'm facing some 'annoying' issues that do not allow me to work with the system. I'm refering to constant freezings.<br>
/var/log/messages, says: "<b>ata2 is slow to respond, please be patient</b>"<br>

This issue is really boring.<br>
I've tried to load the system with the rescue kernel version and the
same happens. I know that the hardware is functioning properly (at
least in Windows).<br>

Is there any suggestion to solve this issue ?!<br>

There are other things to solve, like sound, but this is not
prioritary. And I suppose I will solve the sound problem with the

By the way I've read that current ACPI implementations work with DSDT files. But I can't find on <a href="http://acpi.sourceforge.net/dsdt/view.php" target="_blank">http://acpi.sourceforge.net/dsdt/view.php</a> the DSDT for the Asus W3J. I only find Asus W3V and W3A.

Is W3J DSDT compatible with the DSDT for W3V or W3A ?! <br>
<br>Has anyone installed kubuntu succefully on W3J with no problems ?<br><br>
