what is not true. an intel mac IS an pc, in the therm Personal Computer. And ubuntu on intel mac works, and it is the i386 verson Im taking about. I have an intel mac mini and today I tried an ubuntu live cd, worked good. (havent try to install, dont wana mess up my OSX installitation but have seen exapels of it) You can, run it under paralles. This work like Virutal PC on windows. And it is not emulation. The poot camp, to make windows work on intel mac, is alsa not an emulator. It install an BIOS patch to the macs EFI system so windows reconise it and work. and it is NOT emulation. It is NOT an emulator program. You can run both windows and ubuntu (or any other linux) true native under any intel mac. The MacBook Pro is not a PC. It has no BIOS and the disk partitioning format is GUID, not the PC's MBR. Ordinary PC OSs will not run on it, except under emulation. Intel Macs are not PCs & are not PC-compatible. The only way Windows runs is using a whole set of new drivers and patches. Just 'cos it's got an x86 chip in it doesn't mean it's a PC.
