Why don't strat a way of getting the updates on CD every 2 months...</div></div></blockquote><div><br>This would be much appreciated. I humbly propose that Ubuntu team should find out two things:<br><br>1) what percentage of their current users have only dial-up Internet connection.
<br><br>2) how many new users would Ubuntu gain if it become practical to install and maintain the system in locales where broadband is prohibitively expensive for "ordinary folks". <br><br>If these numbers are what I believe they are, Ubuntu team might be inclined to revise  this "let them eat cakes" attitude -
