<div>Hi,</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Have you checked for possible IRQ conflicts? Is there a way to configure or shut down USB ports from either Dapper or BIOS? If there is a way to shut down the internal USB hubs, try using only the Firewire port. If that works, maybe try using the Firewire adapter you got and plug the USB hub in the adapter, then use whatever USB devices you have?

<div>I've heard of a list of laptops somewhere that are compatible with Ubuntu and gives you an ability to add your laptop to either the "good" list or "bad" list. Can't remember the URL off the top of my head, but there may be information from that web page that could be helpful to you. Can anyone chime in with the URL? :)
