I just installed Ubuntu today, and the suspend seems to panic when its resumed. I haven't tried hibernate because its not really what I want... Is there somewhere I can check what went wrong? I doubt suspend will work from a live CD. I have Ubuntu Dapper installed on my laptop and I am able to hibernate without issue. It actually hibernates better than under WinXP. Under WinXP after coming out of hibernate, the Intel ipw220 wireless would always be flaky about getting a connection and I would have to right-click the taskbar icon and click repair.
