Hello all, I just got (as a gift) a Dell Inspiron B120 laptop that does NOT have internal wireless installed. I checked into installing the miniPCI card myself, which is easy, but there is no antenna in the LCD bezel, so that makes it MUCH harder to do and is something that I am completely trying to avoid. This laptop also does not have a PCMCIA slot! Yes, that's right, the B120 now comes with an ExpressCard slot, which at the current time has NO wireless cards in manufacture. Soooo... I started searching high and low for a USB adapter that works under Linux with little trouble and found out that it's really difficult because a model from a manufacturer might have a different chipset from one version to another. I got myslef a Belkin F5D7050 WiFI USB adapter, seeing that they have a chipset that has Linux drivers available. But, I got the newest version of the adapter, the v4000, and it has a different chipset! I believe it has the ZyDas 1211 chipset. Go figure. I downloaded the latest drivers from the website and tried to compile the drivers, but with no luck. This is the point where I really start to get pissed off at hardware makers and their stupid tactics. So my question is: Does anyone have a compiled version of the drivers for the ZyDas 1211 chipset USB WiFi adapters for Ubuntu Breezy? I just want to install the drivers and make it work. I don't want to compile anymore! :( I don't mind if I have to tweak a few config files, but I just don't want to jump through hoops anymore! Thanks, Lee McLain
