Simple and easy dont really fit well together in any sort of system setup, Windows or Linux... You can either invest some effort into it and setup SAMBA or something like "fishserver" I think its called (on KDE, I use KUbuntu) that like SAMBA will give youa point and click interface as though all files are on the same machine - easy. Or you can do simple, ftp, scp, and so on.
