Also, do you have any Plug n Play device which has the probability of not getting detected by Linux?<br>
Check it out...that may be causing the problem. <br>

Also, I don't remember, but this problem has been discussed before. <br>
It was totally random then, and the only solution is to disable Hotplug. (which has its own disadvantages. )<br>
