Whichever book you choose, I suggest you install webmin and webmin-mysql as it's a convenient way of working hands-on with MySQL and will help to make the theory more concrete. I was thinking on something more on the practical side. Im not a programmer or anything, I just want to know the basics on how to make a database, so that if something goes wrong with the ones we have I wont have to wait for the tech guys to come and fix it. We dont have an IT team in the office so if there is an emergency I have to get guys from another company to check it out.
