Having limited time to sort this all out, as a fun incentive for some help on this problem I'll send a Ł10 <a href="http://Amazon.co.uk">Amazon.co.uk</a> voucher (or a USD 15 <a href="http://amazon.com">amazon.com</a> voucher if you prefer) to the first person who can give me a working Ubuntu kernel subject to the constraints: 1. the kernel should have the current set of Ubuntu patches applied (i.e. not just the stock kernel, it should be a modification of the existing Ubuntu kernel package) 2. you'll need to make it available as a source package as well as a binary (though I want a 686 binary build for myself :-) 3. it needs to function without locking my machine up, disabling my sound card or introducing other major regressions (all my attempts have resulted in at least one of those outcomes...) 4. my Nova-T needs to function correctly (fairly obviously) 5. I am the sole arbiter of successful completion of the bounty. The Nova-T is a widely available PCI TV card that doesn't work on Ubuntu at the moment, so I'd like to encourage the production of a kernel that works so that other people can benefit too. It shouldn't be too difficult a task, as the relevant patches are available in linux-dvb cvs (and, I believe, in the -mm tree). Any takers?
