I need to know a workable setup for sound in a kernel, so I tried looking at<br>
my Ubuntu system that does sound just fine on my hardware.<br>

I looked in /proc, but the config was not there (as it is in my other Linux<br>
distros).<br>

I loaded kernel-source-2.6.10, but there is no .config file.<br>
<br>
So: I'm uncertain exactly what we get with the kernel binaries that<br>
are usually installed.<br>
<br>
Is there a way to find out?<br>
