I don't know why everyone talks about vim having a steep learning
curve.   I use it for the simple fact that I couldn't figure
out emacs.  I only know a handful of vim commands and i can do
just about anything i want to do.  </blockquote>

in cli i always use vim.<br>
but for python i am using gedit. <br>
not sure what its based on but it has syntax coloring and thats all i nned for now.<br>
maybe one a get a bit advanced i'll try using emacs.<br>
