I must have messed something up in my Hoary configuration, since this wasn't happening a few months ago.<br>

When I try to run programs that (as far as I can tell) are X-based,
like vncviewer, it happily runs but never displays on my screen.<br>
<br>
DISPLAY is set to :0.0   <br>
<br>
When I try other settings, either it complains that it can't display or the same thing happens.<br>
<br>
Any ideas?  <br>
<br>
