My major spinal fusion surgery was cancelled because the insurance comapny "forgot" to authorize it, then the doc got pissed at me assuming I cancelled it and cut off my pain meds and then *quit* when I called him about it. Talk about feeling like you're in the Twilight Zone! My family doctor restored my tolerable pain level and referred me to more specialists - should take about 2 months to get in to see one. First off I want to say I'm sorry to hear all of the trouble you are having with your doctor and insurance. It's such a bitch to deal with the health care industry in general. I'm on a class 2 controlled substance (same class as cocaine) prescription, and a class 4 controlled substance prescription as well. What this means is that I have to go in every Month (sometimes more) just to get my RX refilled, because they can't give refills on controlled substance..the freakin DEA sucks. Since I"m a vet in the US with no health insurance, I go to the VA....so I know the frustration. The VA is notorious for having a high turnover, so I'm constantly being switched around to new doctors, and each time I get a new one, they give me hell about prescribing me controlled substance, despite the fact that I've been on them since 2001. It's sad that in a so called "free" country like the US, that the government would be so uptight about drugs, that they make recieving urgently needed medical care, so impossible to get if it includes drugs on the control substance list. what a joke. Sorry about the long off topic post...I just wanted to say I hope things work out for you and that you get the care that you need. The actually reason for my email however is not really off topic...I went to your website to look at the SVG graphics you've been working on. I also do graphic and web design, but it has all mostly been in a adobe/macromedia/microsoft/apple world. Actually it's because of this control they have on the market, and linux's lack of good software in this department that I'm not very familar with SVG graphics (and please don't flame me about gimp, etc...they still are not as good as the closed-source counterparts....I think Linux and Open-Source software are wonderful, and I am slowly getting to the point where that is all I use...) My problem is this. When ever I click on one of your thumbnails to view it, instead of seeing the actually graphic, I'm presented with an xml page instead. Any suggestions? Forgive me if it's just my still being up at 5am that I'm totally missing something very obvious.
