I downloaded Ubuntu off of the website before the official release. I
figured I would need to upgrade.

Running apt-get dist-upgrade
and apt-get upgrade

tells me:

root@kmulligan:/home/kevin # apt-get dist-upgrade
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
Calculating Upgrade... Done
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
root@kmulligan:/home/kevin # apt-get upgrade
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

So I am assuming I am upgraded, but just wanted to double check. I've
added the other repository through the instructions on the wiki.

Also, having read the thread about Ubuntu Backgrounds on the list, I
understood that it had been changed to where after logging in, that the
"loading Ubuntu" image would be different, and not the three humans
with no upper clothing on. I may have missed something in the
instructions, but if you could lead me on how to do this, I would
greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
